Dear Maggie & Ron is a photographic series about my grandmother, Maggie, who is battling Alzheimer's. I discovered these holiday cards in her belongings that she no longer recognizes. These cards written by old friends and family give a glimpse into a life she once had. I used these cards as a canvas to create new art, I combed through images from her youth and young adulthood and utilized the cyanotype process to expose past images of her onto the cards. Because of the cyanotype placement, the text now fades away into the image, along with her memories of the people that have written them.
